From next year, parking costs will be lower for electric cars and cars that run on hydrogen! State Secretary Vivianne Heijnen (Infrastructure and Water Management) recently wrote a letter to the House of Representatives stating that the cabinet intends to amend the Municipalities Act.

This change in the law will help municipalities to work on clean air and a quieter environment. Municipalities can decide for themselves whether they will give a discount and how much that will be. They can opt for a discount on public paid parking spaces, but also, for example, a discount on parking permits.

The discount is only for clean vehicles. This concerns electric vehicles or vehicles that run on hydrogen. Unfortunately, no discount for plug-in hybrid cars, so.

By 2050, all cars on the road must be completely clean. Fortunately, more and more motorists and companies are switching to emission-free transport. Is there anything else you are unsure about about switching to electric driving? Feel free to contact us and we will discuss the possibilities.
